Annapurna Base Camp Trek

With over 60,000 visitors a year, the Annapurna region is one of the most popular regions amongst trekkers, and it is not a surprise to know that Annapurna region host some of the famous trails in Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp trek is for those who wish to do a short trek in Nepal on an easy trail. The trek offers a spectacular view of the Mt. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and also an opportunity to experience typical Nepali village and traditional living style of Himalayan people. 

The itinerary consists of total 14 days trip starting from Kathmandu. However, our sublime trek will begin from the pretty village of Nayapul as we hike the trails through Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chomrong, Bamboo and Machhapuchhre Base Camp to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Throughout the trek, you will be passing through spectacular landscapes, beautiful forests of oak, magnolia & dense rhododendron forest, charming traditional Gurung, Magar & Thakali village.  

After reaching ABC, you will be  reverting back to Pokhara via Jhinu Danda & Pothana, on the way you will haul up at Jhinu Danda to soak of the sweat of your bodies in the healthy hot spring found there & then head back to Pokhara and Kathmandu.  




Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1340 metre

Arrival in Kathmandu and transport to the hotel followed by welcome drinks.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (980 metre) by drive 6 hours or by flight 30 minutes

Today, after breakfast, you will depart to the beautiful town of Pokhara, situated on the shores of Lake Phewa, at the foot of massif.

Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul to Ulleri (2000 metre) 6 hours

After leisurely breakfast, you will take a private van to reach Nayapul which is the starting point of your trek. From here, you will reach your first stop, the small village of Ulleri, at about 2000 meters above sea level. The path does not provide great difficulty, only the last ramp that separates the villages of Tikhedhunga from Ulleri.

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2853 metre), 5 hours

After breakfast, you will trek for about 45 hours to reach the village of Ghorepani (2853 m), a very quaint place that offers superlative views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and other peaks above 7000/8000 meters. You will be settling in one of the many comfortable lodges. Overnight at the lodge. 


Day 05: Ghorepani to Poonhill to Tadapani (2700 metre), 6 hours

Today, the day might be considered slightly more difficult, given the alarm at around 4.30, and the subsequent walk of about 45/60 minutes to the viewpoint of Poon Hill. Here, however, you will be rewarded in the labor placed. The views of Mt. Manaslu, on 'Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are simply spectacular, and the battery of our photographic camera will be put to the test of resistance. After sunrise, you will return to the lodge for breakfast sacred, and then leave and reach, after about 4.30 hours of walking the village Tadapani. 


Day 06: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170 metre), 6 hours 

After breakfast, you will be meeting in the lobby of the lodge and depart for Chhomrong, the first village of the valley that will take you to the base camp. Today’s trekking is not particularly challenging. It will go down to the valley, before recovering to reach precisely the next valley. In Chhomrong, you can enjoy great views on 'Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, the sacred mountain that resembles our Matterhorn.

Day 07: Chhomrong to Hotel Himalaya (2920 metre), 5 hours

Like every morning, after having your breakfast, you will resume the march and reach more and more towards your goal. The next stop is Hotel Himalaya, a suggestive name for a small village, a few lodges, sometimes relaxing and very enjoyable. The good dinner will be prepared by one of the "didi" local we put together again in no time. And sleep conciliate your desire to leave soon, after a few hours, to achieve the goal.

Day 08: Hotel Himalaya - Machhapuchhre Base Camp - Annapurna Base Camp (4220 metre), 7 hours

The base camp, whatever it is, it causes the head and heart of any hiker a feeling of happiness and passion. So today, you will be heading to reach the Base Camp Annapurna. And here we are at the base camp of one of the Himalayan giants, Annapurna (8091 meters) is one of the most challenging summits of the fourteen of 8000. The base camp is located at almost 4200 meters, the site is unique. You will be completely surrounded by dozens of peaks ranging from 6,500 meter to 8,000 meter. A show, an emotion difficult to forget.


Day 09: Annapurna Base Camp - Bamboo (2310 metre), 7 hours

After a good sleep, you will wake up to see the sunrise view and then have your breakfast to fill your body with pure energy.  Then, you will start your descent to the small village of Bamboo.

Day 10: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda Hot Springs (1780 metre), 3 hours

We always think that the journey is over, once you reach the goal. Not so, we still have many surprises. The whole day, almost mostly downhill, will allow you in a few hours to reach the small village of Jhinu  Danda, and especially the pools of thermal water boiling placed right on the river. At the end of a trek is a gift that every hiker on this world would appreciate. After dissolving our tiredness immersed in the hot springs, you will return to the lodge.

Day 11: Jhinu Danda - Trek to Pothana via Gurung Village Landruk


Day 12: Pothana to Nayapul to Pokhara, 6 hours

After breakfast, you will start your last day of walking. 5 hours separate us from Nayapul, through a verdant, almost tropical. At Nayapul, you will be expecting your driver with private van containing additional 'Hotel in Pokhara. The evening will be festival, a good dinner and a few beers in the company of our local team.

Overnight in Hotel Lake Front or similar. 


Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Drive by private van to Kathmandu


Day 14: Departure - Drop to Airport
