01Day

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU

You will find that you have arrived in Kathmandu at the sight of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan range. It will be a memorable moment! The Nepalese capital is located in a wide valley at 1340 meters above sea level. At the airport you will find our staff waiting for you. Transfer to the hotel for check-in, rest and then city tours: visit Kathmandu's Durbar Square and return to Thamel on foot, through the most authentic Kathmandu of Indra Chowk and Ason Chowk, accompanied by local speaking Italian guide.

02Day

DAY 02: DRIVE TO POKHARA

After breakfast, departure to the beautiful town of Pokhara, located on the shores of Lake Phewal, at the foot of the Annapurna massif. Rest of the day available for rest and last pre-trekking shopping. Overnight at Hotel Lake Front or similar.

03Day

DAY 03: FLY TO JOMSOM AND WALK FOR 3 HRS TO KAGBENI, 2810 MT

Early morning transfer to pokhara airport and flight to Jomsom will take around 14 minutes, then meet our trekking crews and 3 hours trekking to Kagbeni, border between lower Mustang and upper Mustang, where your permit get checked.

04Day

DAY 04: KAGBENI TO CHELE 3050mt (5 to 6 hours of trek)

Today is the beginning of the Mustang Trek. The trail goes through the Kagbeni river gorge. The Kali Gandaki river, considered sacred by Hindus, is full of black fussle stone called 'Saligram', which is valued by Hindus and Buddhist in Nepal. The river supposedly, flow through gold mines which is proven by the fact that often particles of the gold can be found in Kali Gandaki river sand. The trek passes through sacred Gompas (Monasteries) and a village called Tangbe situated at 2930 Meter altitude. another village on the way is Chhuksang which still has remains of an old castle built during silk trade period. At Chele the cultural scene changes, and more Tibetan type socio-cultural influence prevails onwards.

05Day

DAY 05: CHELE TO Syangboche 3570mt (5 to 6 hours of trek)

Trek Passes by Gyager village. Mustang trek involves climbing up and down through small valleys and comes to Samar Village located at 3290 meters. It is a major shopping post for the area. Annapurna range in the south dominates the scene. Night will be spent in Syangboche.

06Day

DAY 06: Syangboche TO CHARANG 3560mt (5 to 6 hours trek)

From Syangboche the trail climbs gently through agriculture fields up to the centre of valley and below the settlement of Tamagung. The highest point of this day's Trek goes through Nyila pass at 3950 m. The descend to Tangmar river is gentle which leads to Charang village. Charang is a maize producing area with Gompa and Tankas available in quantity.

07Day

DAY 07: Tsharang TO LOMANTHANG 3810mt (4 to 5 hours of trek)

On the six day the trek goes to Lomanthang, Capital city of Mustang. Lomanthang is an old city situated on a plateau. The trek to Lomanthang is scenic and gentle.

08Day

DAY 08: LOMANTHANG

Day seven is spent in Lomanthang. It is a small town with a rich cultural heritage. This walled town has four major temples. The tallest Champa Lakhang temple was built in 1420 A.D. This temple dedicated to Maitreya the future Buddha. Another temple, Thugchen Gompa is a massive wooden structure also built around 1400 A.D. The entire day will be spend in Lomanthang over serving the socio cultural heritage of the locality.

09Day

DAY 09: LOMANGTHAN TO GHAMI 3520mt via ghargumba 8 to 9 hours

A slight variation of the return route to reach Lo Gekar (signifying 'Pure virtue of Lo' and also known as Ghar Gompa or house temple). The trail climbs steadily to a pass which is marked by a terrain, from where one can have a beautiful view of Lomanthang. From Lo Gekar the trek continues to reach a valley and then descends to village Ghami at 3440 m.

10Day

DAY 10: GHAMI TO SAMAR 3660mt (4 to 5 hours trek

From Ghami a direct route is followed to Nyila. Climbing on a ridge the trek continues upward to meet the trails from Chorang and then descends to Gelong valley. The trail retraces the track for the rest of the day with night camping at Samar.

11Day

DAY 11: SAMAR TO Chhuksang 2810mt (6 to 7 hours trek)

Retraces the upward trail back to the Kali Gandaki and then to Chhuksang

12Day

DAY 12: Chhuksang – Muktinath 3720mt ( 4 to 5 hours trek)

After breakfast we start our trek toward muktinath , after reaching in muktinath rest and relaxation at muktinath,

13Day

DAY 13: Muktinath to Jomsom (4 to 5 hours trek)

After breakfast trek down to jomsom via jharkot village.

14Day

DAY 14: FLY to POKHARA

Fly to Pokhara and overnight in Pokhara

 

15Day

DAY 15: POKHARA TO KATHMANDU

Today early morning after having our breakfast, we will be driving back to Kathmandu

16Day

DAY 16: VISIT KATHMANDU VALLEY

Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to the visit of historical and cultural Kathmandu, with local Italian speaking guide. Visit to the Buddhist monastery of Boudhnath, the biggest stupa in Nepal and the Hindu temple of Pashupatinat, a Hindu ceremony, and then conclude with a visit to the Monkey Temple, a mix of Hinduism and Buddhism, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Kathmandu.

 

17Day

DAY 17: FLY BACK TO HOME
