Glimpse of Nepal

Glimpse of Nepal is a 10-day package tour where you will be visiting cultural heritage sites in both inside and outside Kathmandu Valley. You will be visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites -  Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Patan. Also, the tour includes traveling to Chitwan National Park which is a world heritage listed property and Lumbini - the birthplace of Lord Buddha. In addition, you will be traveling to Pokhara, one of the beautiful cities in Nepal which offers a majestic view of mountains and lakes. We are sure that you will be mesmerized by the experience that you will get through this trip.

 

 

01Day

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Getting to Kathmandu is an exciting and memorable experience, the panoramic view of the snowcapped Himalayan Mountains will immediately show you to your sight. The Nepalese capital is situated in a large valley at 1340 m of altitude. At the airport, there will be our staff waiting for you. You will transfer to the hotel for check-in, rest and then visit the cultural heritage sites in the city: You will be visiting Durbar Square in Kathmandu and walk back to Thamel, through the most authentic Kathmandu of Indra Chowk and Ason Chowk, accompanied by local Italian speaking guide.

02Day

Day 02: Cultural visits in Kathmandu

The 2nd day will be dedicated to visiting historical and cultural places inside the Kathmandu with local Italian speaking guide. We will be visiting four major places - Buddhist monastery of Boudhanath, Hindu temple of Pashupatinath which is a Hindu ceremony site, Patan Durbar Square and Monkey Temple. Boudhanath is the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the holiest places for Buddhist people. Pashupatinath is another temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the four most important religious sites in Asia for devotees of Shiva worshipped mostly by Hindus. Lastly, Swayambhunath temple is located in Swoyambhu which is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhist. It is also known as ‘Monkey Temple’ as you will be able to see many monkeys around the stupa. From this stupa, you can see a beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley.

03Day

Day 03: Bhaktapur to Changunarayan to Namo Buddha to Dhulikhel

After breakfast, we will leave for Thimi, a medieval village famous for ceramic processing. We will then go to Bhaktapur which is also one of the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bhaktapur offers the traveler a somewhat surreal atmosphere, given its very bright Newari style and the tranquility of its alleyways. We will also be visiting the famous Durbar Square where we can admire the famous palace with 55 windows built in 1754, the Sunko Dhoka and the lovely Hindu temples, the Tanka school, the Tibetan Mandala, of which Bhaktapur is the capital of the world. After the visit we will leave for the temple of Changu Narayan: the path that will take us to the temple passes through small villages.  
After visiting Changu Narayan, we will drive towards Namo Buddha. Namo Buddha is one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. It is located in a peaceful village. This is the place where Lord Buddha in his previous life offered his body to a tigress tormented by starvation. After exploring around Namo Buddha, we will be driving towards Dhulikhel and stay overnight there.  Overnight: Hotel or Resort in Dhulikhel 

04Day

Day 04: Dhulikhel to Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park of Chitwan 

We will drive to Tribhuvan International Airport which takes about an hour and then travel to Chitwan, which is 15 minutes flight. Chitwan is a nice place for relaxation, free from hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu City. After having breakfast, we will depart for Chitwan National Park, a true Safari park and a place of absolute relaxation. On our arrival, scheduled in the early afternoon, we will begin the safari activities.

05Day

Day 05: National Park of Chitwan

Full board, all-inclusive buffet formula. Full day for all activities in this paradise. Chitwan is a way to see a different Nepal, not just the Himalayas, but a real safari. Here we can admire the almost extinct white rhinoceros, elephants, crocodiles, jugglers, and with a bit of luck the Bengal tiger. Elephant Safari and Elephant Bath are some famous activities here.  Overnight stay: Hotel 

06Day

Day 06: Chitwan to Lumbini, Birthplace of Lord Buddha

After breakfast, we will leave for Lumbini, the city known for being the hometown of Buddha. Devotees from all around the world come to Lumbini for pilgrimage. The main attraction place of Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple where Buddha born was born. Inside the Maya Devi Temple, you can see the exact birth spot of Lord Buddha. Next, to the Maya Devi Temple, you can also see the holy pond and Ashoka Pillar. Besides it, you can also visit several Buddhist temples and various monasteries offered by international delegations – Thailand, Germany, Vietnam, Cambodia and many more.

07Day

Day 07: Lumbini to Tansen to Pokhara

After breakfast, we will leave for Tansen, a Newari village on the Siddhartha Highway, a place of peace and tranquility, alien to the chaos urban. We will visit the temple of Amar Narayan, a fantastic example of pagoda temples outside the Kathmandu valley, the Tansen Durbar, dating back to 1927, completely restored after the Maoist attack after the civil war in the nineties, Sitalpati, the famous dominated square. From the octagonal pavilion still used today for important community meetings. In the afternoon we will start driving towards Pokhara.

08Day

Day 08: Pokhara Tour (Sarangkot, peace pagoda, lake, caves)

Pokhara is one of the major cities of Nepal, there are many places for sightseeing. Phewa Lake is a major tourist spot where you can enjoy boating or kayaking. Also, we will be visiting the World Peace Pagoda which was built by Japan. From there, you can see an amazing view of Phewa Lake and mountains. Also, we will be going to caves. We will be heading to Sarankot for an overnight stay as we can see a beautiful sunrise in the next morning from Sarankot.

09Day

Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will be driving towards Pokhara Airport which takes about 40 minutes. Then, we will head towards Kathmandu by flight. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will be visiting 3 major places like Kirtipur, Pharping, and Dakshinkali.

Day 10: Final Departure
